My son Joel, made an interesting comment this past week, after not attending our gathering for the past week he came up to me and said two things, "Mike, Church"! Our gathering is at Mike's house and to him it was Church. What struck me was here I as his dad and mentor have already miss communicated to him the purpose of the gathering. He is two now, and to him he equates Mike's house to Church, because that's what i have said to him, "come Joel, we going to church at Mike's house". Catching myself, yet again that no, we are the Church, gathering at what happens to be Mike's house. An interesting lesson for me from my two year old son. I hope that from now on i will be diligent at communicating to him as his mentor, that we are the church, which happens to gather at a location.

Charlie, it was great seeing you this past weekend. I'm sorry we didn't get to see the rest of the family. Say hi to them for me.

Charlie,
The Lesson is great, but don't forget: A Father is more than a Mentor!
God bless
